Treatment
As important as the Titan technology itself is, the final results are largely based on the skill and expertise of the trained physician using the system. Technology The evolution of non-surgical facelift technology began several years ago with ThermageTM which utilizes radio-frequency(RF) energy to heat and contact the deep skin layers. While this approach can be effective, it has several undesirable side effects. With the development of the Titan infrared (IR) system, titrated energy can be delivered to the proper deep skin layer only, with no untoward effects and excellent clinical results. In the US, it is cleared for topical heating to increase local tissue temperatures and circulation. An additional 510(k) clearance is pending for the treatment of wrinkles.
